Laser Removal of Spider Veins
Vascular and Pigmented Lesions
The laser we use is the Diode 532nm for the safe and effective treatment of vascular lesions—spider veins, cherry angiomas, and rosacea—and brown spots caused by sun damage as well other imperfections of the skins, such as lentigines, dyschromia, benign pigmented lesions, and dermatosis papulose Nigra.
The laser treats these areas by heating up the melanin (dark pigment in the skin) with the endpoint, either making it appear darker or to a uniform gray color. The pigmented lesion will then exfoliate over one to two weeks. Larger or thicker lesions may need to be retreated. Sunscreen should be worn daily during the healing process.
